Roland Hjort, Whyred’s cofounder and chief designer, draws inspiration from the iconic style of the Mod subculture. “Clean living under difficult circumstances,” an expression taken from Pete Meaden, the Who’s manager, represents Whyred’s design philosophy.

Loyal to the simplicity of postmodern aesthetics, Hjort creates Whyred’s signature look: classic, wearable designs with a modern twist.
